This update also brings the 30th anniversary Regiments of Renown from Total War: WARHAMMER, bolstering the forces of the Beastmen, Norsca, Bretonnia, Warriors of Chaos, and Wood Elves with 30 unique elite unit variants in the Mortal Empires campaign. RoR is tremendously valuable if managed sparingly. Ownership of the Norsca Race Pack is required to play as Norsca in Mortal Empires.
Want your main stack to "go to 11"? RoR. Don't have the top tier artillery built yet, but could really use top tier artillery (or you need it for quest requirements like Empire does), there's RoR artillery. Chaos invasion pops up, or small 5 unit stack of orcs suddenly gets a waaugh, and you need instant reinforcements? After I heard they were free I started looking for them and after some time I finally found that regiments of renown could be downloaded on the total war access website after making an account.
